She put a small amount of the expensive face wash on her face. Her past struck her the moment she inhaled its smell. Smell of betrayal. When he betrayed her, friends recommended an array of cosmetics to get him and her lost glow back in her life. She followed the advices diligently .  The skin glowed but life did not. 

 She washed her face to come back to the present and threw the face wash in the dust bin. 

With time she had realised that she neither needed the cosmetics nor him for her life to glow. She was enough.
