JUST A MOMENT

Draped in wedding finery, she walked slowly towards the altar. Rose petals lined her path, whispers of joy in the air. Midway, she stopped.

With tears in her eyes, she whispered, “Just a moment”.

She paused, holding in her heart, her childhood, family and friends- the pieces that made her.

“I carry them with me, she said slowly, “to my new home, my new life”.

A tear fell, then she smiled gently.

The world saw a beautiful bride, but she was a river, flowing quietly, becoming someone new in that moment.
