Feeling ashamed of herself, sobbing and dreading dad’s reaction, she called him from the hostel to let him know that she had flunked her University examinations.

“It’s OK”, said the strict disciplinarian. “If you think you can’t do it anymore then pack your bags and come back home. Pursue what you like. But if you think you can still pick yourself up, then get up, prepare again and give another try. I am with you”.

She was surprised to see this facet of dad’s personality.
