THE SILENT KNOT

A knot came undone
Quite unintentionally,
And the pain flowed
Through tears,

As if a dam burst open.

A slight embarrassment followed—
For no one knew
What was the pain about…

It was there,
Hiding somewhere
In the form of an ache,
And became a part of life.

The harmless, lingering ache
Transformed into pain slowly,
And became a knot—

A tight knot
That settled
In the depths of suppression.

The knot,finally, was gone,
But something deeper stayed—
Not pain,

Just the scar it left behind
In places even silence won’t reach.
