There was a lot of noise around,
And she failed to find her peace,
So she closed all the doors and windows,
And did find some relief,
Eventually the noises entered her house too,
And they seemed to follow her everywhere,
She anxiously looked here and there,
And realised...

No one is born cruel. Unfavourable circumstances lead people to behave cruelly. She truly believed it.
She was a kind soul who couldn’t bear to see her innocent children wailing every day. When she lost hope, she fed them poisoned rice.
Starvation brought out the worst in her. She became cruel too before...
REIMBURSEMENT

They met after years and had lunch together. They remembered their old days and common friends. He paid the bill for the food but forgot to collect the receipt. She pointed it out and he casually reminded her that it won’t fetch him any reimbursement.
