Every time I tried to become like you,
I lost a bit of me.
Did you ever try to become like me and lost a bit of you too?
Every time I tried to remain me,
I was more happy but felt less loved.
Did you ever remain you and yet feel all loved for being you?
Me and you, You and me are shadows of the same self,
Like night and day, white and grey,
Beginning at the same place,
Carving our own paths towards our respective destinations,
Did your path look rosier to me? Always.
But who knows I am not you and I know not what you went through.
And as we tread on our paths slowly ,
I look at you, you look at me and smile hoping me and you , you and me would happily sail through.
