(My day starts with a glass of water. Today this glass of water inspired me to write a few lines.)

The glass of water soothes my throat but doesn’t sooth my soul.

The glass of water and the medicine cure my ailments but they don’t cure the emptiness of my heart.

The glass of water is cool, how then it fails to touch me?

The glass of water is clean and clear, how then my mind is so clouded?

The glass of water looks pure and calm, how then the brain is so manipulative ?

The elixir of life touches me physically but I remain untouched by its goodness.
